Understanding your quote
Vehicle transport is not priced from distance alone. These shipment details help your coordinator review the available options and prepare written pricing.
Mileage matters, but carrier access near the pickup and delivery points matters too.
Larger vehicles use more trailer space. Non-running vehicles may need additional loading equipment.
Open transport is widely available. Enclosed transport uses specialized covered equipment.
A flexible pickup window gives the coordinator more options when arranging a carrier.
Narrow roads, restrictions and locations far from common routes can affect the available plan.
Availability changes by lane and season, so each request is reviewed before pricing is sent.
No invented instant estimate. We review the shipment before sending a price so you can see the actual written offer and terms.

Before you request
Your written offer is based on the shipment information you provide and the transport option you select.
Route, distance, vehicle size and condition, transport type, timing and carrier availability can all affect pricing. Your coordinator reviews those details before sending a written offer.
No. Requesting a quote does not book transport or charge a payment method. You can review the written offer before deciding whether to continue.
Open transport is commonly used for everyday vehicles. Enclosed transport limits exposure to the open road and may suit classic, luxury or specialty vehicles.
Yes, in many cases. Mark the vehicle as non-running in the form so the coordinator can account for loading requirements when reviewing the shipment.
Velocity Auto Transport is an FMCSA-authorized auto transport broker. We arrange transport with an independent motor carrier and remain your point of contact. We do not own the trucks.
Pickup and delivery timing depends on carrier assignment, route conditions and the agreed schedule. Your written offer explains the available plan. Do not rely on an unconfirmed date when making travel arrangements.
You and the driver review the vehicle condition at pickup and again at delivery. The condition record is documented on the bill of lading. Keep a copy for your records.
Select the personal-items option on your offer and confirm the assigned carrier's weight, packing and prohibited-item requirements before loading. The first 100 lb is included at no charge; each additional pound is $1, subject to confirmed carrier restrictions. Your selected allowance and charge appear on the offer. Personal belongings are not insured under this option; remove valuables, documents and fragile items. Vehicle coverage is subject to the assigned carrier's policy, limits and exclusions.
