Enclosed auto transport

Covered equipment for vehicles you can't replace

Enclosed trailers carry fewer vehicles, load lower and shield everything inside from weather and road debris. It is the right call for a specific set of vehicles — and we'll tell you honestly when your car isn't one of them.

What you're paying for

An enclosed trailer typically carries two to seven vehicles instead of eight to ten, which immediately changes the economics. The equipment itself is also different: many enclosed carriers run hydraulic lift gates that raise a vehicle nearly flat rather than driving it up an angled ramp, and use soft nylon straps over the tires instead of chains on suspension components.

The practical benefits are fewer variables. No road spray, no gravel from the truck ahead, no direct sun for days, and a loading method that doesn't scrape a front lip.

Vehicles that genuinely benefit

  • Exotic, supercar and high-value luxury vehicles
  • Classic, antique and freshly restored cars with original paint
  • Show vehicles arriving for an event or judging
  • Lowered cars, splitters and anything with minimal ground clearance
  • Motorcycles, which are commonly moved in enclosed equipment
  • Convertibles with soft tops in poor condition

The trade-off nobody mentions

Availability. There are far fewer enclosed trailers operating than open ones, so the window from approval to pickup can run longer, especially outside major corridors. If your date is tight and your vehicle is a standard production car, open equipment may serve you better than waiting for enclosed.

We will not upsell you into enclosed for a commuter car. If open is the right answer for your vehicle and your lane, that's what we'll recommend.
