Smaller markets like Tuscaloosa and Dothan ship regularly but may see slightly longer pickup windows since fewer carriers route directly through them on a given day.

Open versus enclosed transport

Most Alabama shipments move on open carriers, which is the standard, most widely available equipment and suits the vast majority of daily drivers, trucks and SUVs. Enclosed transport makes sense for higher-value, low-clearance or collector vehicles, particularly if the car is headed to or from a show, auction, or restoration shop. Enclosed capacity is thinner than open capacity everywhere, so booking a bit further ahead helps when the vehicle needs that protection.
