Full-size carriers need room to stop and load legally. Where a street in Nevada is narrow, gated or restricted, the driver arranges a safe spot close by, a wide cross street or a large lot.

Shipping a vehicle across Nevada
Two hubs, one big gap
Las Vegas and Reno anchor most of Nevada's population and vehicle activity, and the distance between them along US-95 is considerable, with little in the way of large towns in between. Carriers generally have no trouble reaching either metro directly, but a pickup or delivery address in the rural stretch between them, or further out toward the Nevada-Utah line, may require routing through a nearby town or highway junction instead of a home address.
Desert heat and vehicle condition
Summer temperatures in the Las Vegas valley and much of southern Nevada regularly climb into extreme heat, which can affect tires, fluids, and interior components on a vehicle sitting on an open trailer for an extended trip. It's worth checking tire pressure and fluid levels before a summer shipment, and enclosed transport is a reasonable option for a vehicle with sensitive paint, vinyl wraps, or interior materials that don't hold up well to sustained heat.
Las Vegas dealer and auction volume
Las Vegas has a steady flow of dealer and wholesale vehicle activity, and Velocity coordinates transport for private buyers who've purchased a vehicle at auction or from an out-of-state dealer and need it moved to or from the city. These moves tend to work well with carriers already scheduled to serve the Las Vegas market, since it's a common drop point on many cross-country routes.
Mountain passes and northern Nevada winters
Reno sits close to the Sierra Nevada, and routes connecting northern Nevada to California over passes like Donner Summit can see heavy snow and chain-control requirements in winter. Carriers factor this into routing and timing during winter months, and a shipment scheduled for late fall through early spring may need some flexibility if a mountain pass closes temporarily due to weather.
Urban access in Las Vegas and Reno
Parts of the Las Vegas Strip corridor and downtown Reno have dense traffic, parking restrictions, and neighborhoods with tight streets that aren't practical for a full-size multi-car carrier. For addresses in these areas, drivers commonly arrange to meet at a nearby large parking lot, casino property, or shopping center rather than attempting to bring a 75-foot rig down a narrow residential street.

Getting your vehicle ready
Clean the vehicle before pickup so existing wear is easy to see in photos, remove toll transponders, and keep the fuel tank low but not empty. At delivery, inspect the vehicle against your pre-shipment photos before signing the paperwork. In hot weather, check that tires and fluids look normal after a longer haul across the desert. Select the personal-items option on your offer and confirm the assigned carrier's weight, packing and prohibited-item requirements before loading. The first 100 lb is included at no charge; each additional pound is $1, subject to confirmed carrier restrictions. Your selected allowance and charge appear on the offer. Personal belongings are not insured under this option; remove valuables, documents and fragile items. Vehicle coverage is subject to the assigned carrier's policy, limits and exclusions.
