Nationwide vehicle transport coordination across the 48 contiguous states

Purchased vehicle transport

Get a vehicle you bought online picked up and delivered

Buying a car online closes the sale, but someone still has to physically move it from the seller to you. Velocity Auto Transport coordinates pickup and delivery for vehicles purchased through dealer listings, private-party sales and classified sites, working with whichever seller you bought from to arrange release and get the vehicle to your address.

Quotes are free to request. Nothing is charged unless you accept an offer.

What online car purchase transport involves

Seller authorization and release

Before a carrier can pick up the vehicle, the seller — whether a dealership or a private individual — needs to confirm the sale is complete and authorize release to a transporter. This is between you and the seller to finalize; once it's settled, give us the seller's contact information and pickup address so we can coordinate the specific timing.

Keys and title timing

Confirm with the seller when and how keys will be handed to the driver, and clarify separately how the title will be transferred to you — these are often handled on different timelines. A carrier picking up the vehicle typically only needs the keys and a released vehicle, not the title itself, but you'll want your own title transfer process settled independently.

Pre-pickup condition documentation

Ask the seller for current photos of the vehicle, or arrange for the carrier to photograph it thoroughly at pickup, before it's loaded. This documentation is your reference point if the vehicle's condition at delivery differs from what was described in the listing, separate from any transit-related notes on the bill of lading.

Dealer vs. private seller pickup

Dealership pickups are often more straightforward, since dealers are used to release paperwork and typically have consistent business hours and a lot the carrier can access. Private-seller pickups can involve more coordination around a specific person's schedule and an address that may not be as accessible to a large carrier, so confirm availability windows directly with the seller.

Marketplaces with their own delivery

Some online car-buying platforms operate their own delivery service as part of the purchase and don't use outside transport arrangements. If the marketplace you bought from already offers to deliver the vehicle, that's a separate process from what we coordinate, and it's worth checking with the platform first before arranging independent transport.

Setting the delivery address and timing

Once the pickup side is arranged with the seller, tell us your preferred delivery address and any date constraints. As with any shipment, a specific narrow date can limit carrier options, while a reasonable range makes it easier to match your load to a truck already serving that route.

The brokerage's role in a purchase pickup

Velocity coordinates the carrier assignment and the pickup logistics once the seller has authorized release, and stays the point of contact through delivery. We do not handle the sale itself, the payment between buyer and seller, or the title transfer — those remain between you and the seller.

Process

From quote to delivery

  1. 1

    Tell us the details

Route, vehicle, whether it runs and your earliest workable date. Requesting a quote is free.

  2. 2

    We review and quote

A person checks current carrier-market conditions for your lane and equipment, then sends a written quote.

  3. 3

    Carrier assigned

Once you accept, we arrange a qualified motor carrier and confirm the pickup window with you.

  4. 4

    Pickup and delivery

Condition is documented on the bill of lading at both ends, and you have one point of contact throughout.

Plan around this

What affects your shipment

Limitations and requirements worth knowing before you book this service.

  • Finalize the sale first: The seller must authorize release to a carrier before any pickup can be scheduled.
  • Separate keys from title: Key handoff at pickup and title transfer to you are usually two different timelines — track both.
  • Document condition before pickup: Get or take photos of the vehicle before it's loaded, independent of the carrier's own bill of lading.
  • Confirm the seller type: Dealer pickups tend to be more predictable than private-seller pickups with tighter schedules.
  • Check for platform-provided delivery: Some online marketplaces deliver purchased vehicles themselves, which may replace the need for separate transport.

How we work

What you can expect from us

We are a licensed-carrier brokerage, not a trucking fleet

Velocity Auto Transport Group LLC arranges your transport with qualified motor carriers. The carrier assigned to your vehicle operates the truck; we coordinate the booking, the paperwork and the updates.

Written quotes, reviewed by a person

Your route, vehicle and timing are reviewed against current carrier-market conditions before we send a quote. No instant algorithmic number that changes after you book.

One point of contact from quote to delivery

You reach the same team for scheduling changes, pickup windows and delivery updates rather than a call queue.
