South Carolina sits squarely on the I-95 corridor that carries a large share of the country's north-south snowbird and relocation traffic each year. That means even a single-vehicle shipment in or out of the state often rides alongside other Florida, Georgia, and Carolinas moves, generally keeping availability healthier than in less-traveled corridors.

Coastal and hurricane-season planning

Charleston, Myrtle Beach and other coastal communities are subject to the same hurricane season, roughly June through November, that affects the wider Southeast. Carriers move out of a threatened area ahead of a storm and resume once roads are clear, so a shipment scheduled during an active storm may see a short pause and should carry some scheduling flexibility.

The coast, especially around Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach, has a large population of seasonal and second-home residents who move a vehicle in ahead of a stay and out again afterward. These moves are predictable and plan well in advance, and open transport handles the large majority of them without issue.

Access for gated coastal communities

Many coastal developments and gated communities restrict large vehicle access, and a full-size carrier at roughly 75 feet needs room to maneuver that some private streets don't offer. Meeting the driver at the community's main gate or a nearby commercial area is the normal solution and doesn't change the pickup or delivery service itself.
