If you're shipping during that window, especially evacuating a vehicle ahead of a storm, contact us as early as possible so we can work with carriers on the timeline.

Open transport for most vehicles, enclosed for special cases

Open carriers handle the large majority of Houston shipments and offer the widest availability on I-10, I-45 and I-69 lanes. Enclosed transport is worth considering for classic or exotic vehicles, or if you're shipping during a stretch of severe weather and want the extra protection from wind-driven rain common along the Gulf Coast.

Humidity, heat and vehicle prep

Houston's heat and humidity are tough on rubber seals and battery health, which matters if a vehicle has been sitting before shipment. Check tire pressure and battery charge before pickup, keep the tank around a quarter full, and photograph the car thoroughly so the delivery inspection has something concrete to compare against.
