Military relocation shipments

With Joint Base San Antonio's several installations in the area, PCS (permanent change of station) moves are a regular part of the vehicle transport we coordinate here. Military moves often come with less flexible dates than a typical relocation, so we work to line up carriers as early as orders allow, and we can accommodate on-base or near-base pickup and delivery arrangements.

Downtown and King William access

San Antonio's historic downtown and neighborhoods like King William have narrower streets and more traffic restrictions than the newer suburbs ringing the city. A large carrier may need to meet you at a nearby commercial area rather than navigate some of these older residential blocks, which is a routine adjustment rather than a problem with the shipment itself.

Suburban growth to the north and west

Areas like Stone Oak, Alamo Heights and the communities along Loop 1604 have grown quickly and generally offer straightforward carrier access with wide streets and ample parking. If your address is in one of these newer developments, driveway or curbside pickup is usually workable without any special arrangements.

Open transport handles most San Antonio shipments

Open carriers cover the majority of vehicles moving through San Antonio and offer the widest availability on the I-35 and I-10 corridors. Enclosed transport is a reasonable choice for classic cars, motorcycles needing extra protection, or vehicles headed to or from a region with severe weather in the forecast.

Heat, dust and vehicle condition

South Texas summers bring sustained heat that can be hard on tires, belts and aging batteries, particularly for a vehicle that's been sitting for a while before shipment. A quick pre-transport check of fluids and tire pressure is a good idea for older cars making a long-distance trip.

Preparing for pickup and inspecting delivery

Clear the car of personal items, leave about a quarter tank of fuel, and photograph it thoroughly before the driver arrives. At delivery, walk around the vehicle with the driver and compare it to your photos before signing the bill of lading, since that paperwork is the reference point for any later claim.
